2019, I Bid You Good-bye

From "The Craziness of Me" PUPPY!!! Y'all, I love me some puppy cuteness. My "real job" is right next to a Pet-co, and the cute, clean puppies are the best perks ever. So hopefully, that made you smile. I want everyone's 2019 to end with the smiling. Even if it's only at a silly puppy, I want you to smile as you face 2020 for the first time, okay? Smile. From "To Keep Me Same" 2019 was a year of opposites. I laughed, and I cried. I made memories, and I lived through things I wish I could forget. In 2019, I started this blog. I finished The Dragons' Stones  and started its sequel, The Dragon's Skin . Those are all wonderful, wonderful things. What does 2020 hold for me? I plan to find an agent for The Dragons' Stones . That is my biggest goal. I want to travel out of country - something I've never done before. Weirdly enough, I also turn 21 this coming year. So many strange new things. From &

My Wonderful Worlds

From "My Lifeblood ~ Writing" So this post is probably overdue. I've talked about my characters a good bit, but not the worlds they live in. Which is a pity. Really. Because I put a lot of creativity into them. From "my Lifeblood ~ Writing" So here goes: From "The Dragon Books"  The Kingdom of Fire and Ice from The Dragons' Stones and The Dragon's Skin  is a magical kingdom from an oral children's story. It doesn't exist in one set place, but instead, it is reached by completing a quest. What is the quest? You have to unravel the story's riddles to learn that. Characteristics of the Kingdom are (of course) fire and ice. These are seen through the coloring of natives and animals. A stand out feature would be trees that are formed from "ice wood" with "fire leaves". From "Day and Night" So Day and Night  is set in another unusual Kingdom situation. Originally two

From "The Craziness of Me" Seriously, Santa. I'm an angel. I promise. But if you met my sister(s), you would completely understand. It's not my fault. Really. From "The Craziness of Me" As a side note, I love this fox. I actually love foxes period. But this one is adorable and seasonal. It's a freaking Christmas fox, y'all! Oh, and speaking of seasonal.... From "The Craziness of Me" Okay. I think that's enough rambling for the moment. Let's get back to the point of this post.... What was my point? I forget. UMMM..... Yeah, my brain's dead.  Oh, well. What   I'm    Listening   To: From "My Childhood = Disney" So if you haven't seen Frozen II , you're missing out. It's A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!! I saw it twice in one weekend - totally worth it. My favorite songs are "When I'm Older" (sung by Olaf), "Lost in the Woods" (sung by Kristoff), and &quo

Here's to the Hope. . .

From "To Keep Me Sane" Here's to the hope that we all remember this bit of wisdom. Here's to the hope that as 2019 and its decade draw to an end, we all look back at our mistakes and smile because of the growth that resulted. Here's to the hope that 2020 will be a year of shining mistakes and improvements. From "To Keep Me Sane" Here's to the hope that 2019 produced memories we all will always treasure. Here's to the hope we all drew closer to our loved ones. Here's to the hope that we all are less attached to physical things and more attached to what really matters. From "To Keep Me Sane" Here's to the hope that we all face our darkness and shone bright. Here's to the hope that even when we didn't shine, we faced our darkness. Here's to the hope that we all will shine brighter for facing that darkness. Here's to the hope that 2020 will be a bright, bright year. From "To Keep Me
