An Unofficial Post

From "Books, Movies, Coffee, Etc." I haven't done one of these posts in awhile, so I thought it would be fun to pull it out of the closet and dust it off. Any objections? No? Good. Let's get started. ~~~~~~~~ From "The Craziness of Moriah Snell" I laughed so hard at this!! I used this layout in my bullet journal. I usually use a big, two page calendar for my monthly layout. This took less time as well as less space. My inspiration was this: From "Bullet Journal Inspiration" Think I did as well as the OG? Via  Goodreads Presently, I'm reading Prince Across the Water  by Jane Yolen and Robert J. Harris. Jane Yolen is one of my favorite authors, and I love her Stuart Quartet! Check out my Goodreads account for updates as I read more. And.... yeah, that's it. Hope y'all enjoyed this mini update about my life. See ya later! From "My Childhood = Disney"

July 2020 Writing Process

From "The Craziness of Moriah Snell" Finally.... someone who understands the REAL problems of life. Moving on... From "The Craziness of Moriah Snell" Explosive and deadly, but oh, do I shine bright. This is what I aspire to be. This is what I want to be said of me. What would you like said of you? For anyone who's interested, my kitten Onyx is about four months old, a healthy weight, and super active. Even better, she's happy and loved. Okay... so I should probably get to the point of this post. Which you already know if you read the title.  My writing process for July is spotty at best. I'm trying to integrate it into my daily life, via phone and laptop. But it's sooo easy to just open up Youtube or Pinterest and not work on my WIPs. So I'm trying to be more disciplined about it. Ideally, I would be dedicating an hour in the morning or evening to editing/writing, as well as my break times. My "real job" is full time though, and I'm

Teaser Tuesday ~ THE DRAGONS' STONES

From "The Dragon Books" Background of the following scene: Aleksander and Ciara have been captured by slavers. Narrated from Aleksander's point of view, we see their escape and Ciara's reaction. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Studying the gaps, I realized I only needed to break one beam. That would give us the space to squeeze out to freedom. I glanced at the slavers. Two still squatted next to the fire. The others lay with their backs to it, chest rising and falling steadily. Two. I could take two, if I could only reach my sword. Where was it? My eyes worked slowly over the slavers, trying to find it. The closest sleeper had only his weapons and one blanket. The two next the failing flames spread empty hands towards the heat, casting long finger - shadows into the night beyond the glow. The other sleeper lay half - hidden by those two, and I frowned in frustration. “He has it,” I whispered to myself. “Who has what?” Ciara

From "Advice" in "Writing Help" Yep, yep, yep. I'm an introvert; sue me. From "Books, Movies, Coffee, Etc." See what I mean? Also from "Books, Movies, Coffee, Etc." Anywhoo, I hope everyone enjoyed Independence Day. I had to work at my "real job", soooo I did nothing. Well, okay, I wore a patriotic shirt and started watching Hamilton  on Disney+. But I hope y'all found a fun way to celebrate. I went into June kind of scared. The month didn't seem to hold much promise. My big hope was to do a lot of commenting on The Dragon's Skin . My goal was to do Chapters 1 -12. I got through Chapter 10 and started Chapter 11. So I'm down by about one and a half chapters. However, I did set up a table of contents which allows me to move around faster. I'm hoping that I'll be able to get more done on the go, since it's easier to find my place now.
